Sounds like a cool deal. Will have a look, if anyone has done the werefox alread.
There is Kitsune in Creatures of Rokugan, but they have little to do with original Chinese legend about were-foxes (not sure if they were called Kitsunes, or whatever there were both good and evil variation).
Fox women were legendary evil seductive shapechanger 'spirit' villains/evil hengeyokai (did I write it right) of asian mythos. They coudn't change their tails however, so they had to hide them when they where in human shape, or their tail would give them away. There only were females of their kind.
Which variation you are looking for, good or evil, oriental adventures version or something else?
Where one you are refering to is in 2nd or 1st edion? I recall seeing few versions, and I own too many monster books to remember where.
Oh, and yes, creative uses for bestow curse is good idea. There are variations typical for evil (and justly pissed off) witches/warlocks/shamans/demonogists/necromancer, whatever, which are sadly lacking in 3rd edition books. I mean that stuff they usually do in comics, movies, books etc. D&D Bestow curse as it is currently is very boring plot-wise (and I don't mean UCG-stuff only), but made that way probably because it has more combat uses, than more 'story-common' curses.
I made my spell called 'Curse of Twisted Lust', but I though it was both too badly written language-wise and 'evil to send into guide.
