H.O.B. Haters Of Bards

There are no weak classes, only weak players who cannot adjust to the strengths and weaknesses of the classes. Some people don't need to always play a power class and can have much more fun with the subtle intricasies (and strengths) of a "weak" class.

It's R-O-G-U-E....ROGUE

Personally, I can't wait for people to start using "it's" correctly, as in, "it's" is the contraction of "it is" and "its" is the possessive form of "it". It seems practically every use of "it's" on this boards is incorrect... and the semi-autistic part of me is worried that I will soon follow suit.

Please, for the sake of we who are semi-autistic, arch-pedant, compulsive-obsessives, use "its" and "it's correctly"....

Uh, correct me if I'm wrong, but I used "it's" correctly - did I not?

Perhaps my correct spelling and usage of "it's" just triggered some pet peeve of yours?

Look Virgil, I was going to make a smart comment but I'd rather just educate you.
Thanx fore tha frea spelling lesson Zogg, Its getting late;)
An arrow through the throat probably wont, but a poisoned dagger in the back might do the trick. Along with a death-attack, because your to busy "preforming" to take notice of the time.:D
Told you bards R bettah.
;)
Who wouldn't have hit if he hadn't gotten +1 to various stuff.
Hey, someone has to take advantage of it. Who elso than a rogue!:D
These bards easily pull their own weight during the course of the adventure. While I probably won't play a bard anytime soon, a well played bard is a great asset to the group. Bards get my respect.
What about Gnomes?

Well, back when I was running a campaign over the Internet, I penalized anyone who intentionally spelled rogue "rouge", used there/their incorrectly, or other such errors, intentionally being defined as "twice in a row". It was highly educational.

If giving favorite class: bard to gnomes is a move designed to break the Annoying Tinker stereotype, I'm all for it.

I think that, in real life, bards would be the ones that really, seriously, survive most adventures. I mean - they should be - someone has to live to tell the stories.
I'd like so. My bard got killed yesterday. Took 7 CON damage from a poisoned crossbow bolt while he was already wounded. My mistake; I should have cast Shield at the beginning of the combat instead of Expeditious Retreat. Oh well... the new Bladesinger has promise. :D

I think bards are an excellent character class. Currently one my player plays a bard/arcane archer and even before he became an arcane archer he was decent at ranged combat (granted he sucks in melee). I also currently play a halfling bard/barbarian and I'm better in combat than the partys monk and better than the rouge when he can't sneak attack (though thats not saying too much).

Gnomish bards are sorta silly though.
