Half-Dragon Question

I'm away from my books at the moment and suffering from a horrible brain failure. I'm making a half-dragon NPC for my group and I can't for the life of me figure out what hit die type to use. Would it be the regular d4, a d6 because the template increased the die type by one, or would it be a d10 (one size up from the base race of human)?

The half-dragon template only affects natural HD. Classed humans don't have natural HD, only class HD. So, normal HD for a wizard, d4.

If you were creating, say, a half-dragon gnoll wizard (yay!), since gnolls have two natural HD, these 2d8 would have become 2d10, but any wizard HD would of course stay d4.
