D&D General half-orcs and bad Charisma

isn't it silly to say that Orcs have a malus to their Charisma ?
if we assume that Charisma encompasses high personality,
and ugly faces bear strong Willpower,
then perhaps Orcs make low Rulers
( dunno if Chaotic cities are bad-governed, using opposition of
Law->Rules/Humanism vs Chaos->Freedom/Individualism )

??

There is an older game (Super-Hero Genre) called Villains and Vigilantes that Charisma, in part) is the degree to which you reflect "the side" you are on. So, evil characters with a high Charisma gets a bonus when dealing with evil people/nps, and good characters with a high Charisma get a bonus when dealing with good characters/npc.

Good people, that is, the ones that are innocent as regards to killing others, would have high Morale, while Evil people would have psychiatric issues, which would lower their Charisma ...

this is not to say that people who have psychiatric issues are Evilly aligned,,, they can be witnesses of an Evil act,
or they can have purchased an Evil Level ( if we say that, with each Character Level you purchase an Alignement Level )

The assumptions have always been that most player races hate orcs, that orcs are brutish (thank you tolkien) and that as a result people hate orcs so half orcs start off at a disadvantage in any charisma related encounter with anyone but orcs.

Some Disney villains, and supervillains from comics could be good examples of evil characters with high Charisma.

I use a different list of abilities scores in my homemade system.

Charisma is more about social interaction and influence. It for example the talent to convice other to accept a deal.

The superhero "Deadpool" is very ugly, but very charismatic. Everybody thinks he is cool. Ben "the Thing" Grimm, is member of the Fantastic Force, he is "ugly" but very loved by the children fandom and that type of things. C3PO is an adroid with a emotionless face, but "loved" by the fandom. Guy Fawkes(V of Vendetta) didn't show his face, but he was "charismatic".

Because a species of folk who are all super swole and proud of it to the point of wanting to fight everyone clearly lack force of personality.

D&D thinks the GigaChad, the very image of a tuskless orc, has a Charisma penalty.

Yes. Because being made out of muscle may make you physically intimidating, but "I am imposing" isn't much of a personality.

Can GigaChad make you cry with the story of a little girl going hungry? Can GigaChad bring a joyful laugh out of you with a joke. Can GigaChad lead you to empathy with words? No? Then he doesn't have much charisma.
