Half-Price Books . . . your source for liquidated books!

Found a HPB just 25-30 miles north of me in Greenwood, IN. Picked up Stormwrack for only $13 and it's in really good condition. They have copies of Five Nations and Explorer's Handbook, that are in good condition. I'm not interested in Eberron, but in case someone else in the area is.

Thanks Phil for the heads up.

For whatever it's worth, at least one Houston location (the one in Rice Village) has most of the stuff listed here too. I just grabbed Weapons of Legacy as well as one of two sub-$10 copies of the Penumbra Bestiary they had.

No problem. I figured several people here would want to know about this.

Your consideration is greatly appreciated. I'd thought about picking up a DMG2 way back when, but after looking through it, decided $40 was just too much to pay ... Thanks to your tip, I picked up a copy yesterday, plus the Eberron supplements Five Nations and Explorer's Handbook, for just a bit less than that, total. Score!

There is one in Phoenix.

I go there periodically since it is near my in-laws. I went today and they didn't have any of the books mentioned. I asked a couple of employees and they said they hadn't gotten any quantity of D&D books lately :(

For those of you looking for minis, several HPBs have D&D Aberrations starter sets, SW Clone Strike starter sets, and SW Revenge of the Sith starter sets too.

I grabbed the DMG2 and HoHorror (both of which I'd been looking for) the Wednesday before last, the Clone Strike starter last Tuesday, and am considering Stormwrack, Weapons of Legacy, and Magic of Incarnum too. :-)

If you're going to do that kind of shopping for gaming stuff, head for Minneapolis. They have a HPB and The Source, which is simply amazing. It's not that far from Winnipeg, though it's far enough that day tripping would be a bad idea.

(I lived in Winnipeg until August.)

Yeah, we are lucky in the minneapolis area to have several HPB locations, other independant bookstores, and a few gaming stores that all sell used RPG books.

The Source is simply the best gaming store in the midwest, at least IMO.
However,Phoenix games in Minneapolis has a much larger used book section.
