This is a really great sheet, THANK YOU! :D

Please please put race in as a drop-down.

Also, (esp if you wish it to be a collaborative project, but it is good practice anyway!) please can you use field names, not cell references!!! To illustrate why, for example (not real values) for hit points:

=(CharLevel*HitDice)+ConStat+Toughness as opposed to =(a3*a27)+d74+data1.B3)

(For anyone who wishes to know, in openoffice, it is super super easy, just write a name in the box to the left of the formula bar which normally shows the cell reference. Sorry I don't know excel)

Grinnen Baeritt- please can you put a link each time you post? I'd love to take a look at your sheet, but can't see a link. (Apologies if there is, I have *heavy* filtering active or maybe I just missed it- perception is, alas, not a class skill!)

I wouldn't put powers in myself. Right now, it is manageable (barely). But very soon, there will be ten different source books full of powers.... You can't do everything!

Also, there is no room on DATA for new types of armor. I am sure there will be some new types coming soon, not to mention DMs may create some. The other tables do leave plenty of room for expansion which is a great idea! :D

Also, can you put in the point buys and the total current point buy. You might want to make these non-printing.

Finally, let me say it again as it needs repeating:
GREAT JOB!!!!

:D:D:D

I'm experimenting with formattting ATM, I've nailed the way of doing the "pick selection" for feats and powers, and got them to display nicely in the boxes on the sheet, though I am quite aware that expansions will invariably follow so I've created two additional sheets to list these, therefore people who want to add new ones can... though my excel-fu is not as great as others.

Once you have named a range they can be shifted around (or expanded)the data sheet if you are careful.

I will create a link when I'm happy with it, ATM it does the racial modifications and auto-displays the class/race abilities as well.

Hey Grinnen...

I like your sheet a lot. Any chance of adding a 1/2 your level mod box to the abilities. I find that you need to know you mod+1/2 level a lot more than just your mod.

Also maybe a small place for marking your Daily Item Powers usage?

Thanks!

First I would like to say thank you for putting this all together, I can tell a lot of time and effort when in to this and it is really appreciated!! However, I do have a question about the Max HP field. By default, the Char sheet is fo a 1st level Cleric with all 10s for abilities, according to the sheet this would give that character a max HP of 22. That doesn't seem right to me, if I read the PHB a Cleric would have 12 + Con mod at 1st, or 12 HP with a Con of 10. Am I missing something (entirely possible!), forgive me if this has already been discussed, I started reading all of the threads but then gave up. :erm:

The formula for the field is "=DATA!B34+C33+(AH9-1)*DATA!C34+U55". The Con field is a merge of C33 and C34 (along with D, E and F), I am not an Excel wizard, but it seems to be pulling info from the same field twice...? As I say, I could be mising something really simple, if so please enlighten me.

Thanks!!

I have the same problem with Paladin its is showing a value of 25 when it should be only 17

I really like that sheet :)

and I'd really like to see a race selector

what I don't get is why do you put magic missiles inside there 3 times???
the spell dosn't change if you switch implements
(the same with Eldritch Blast)

about javelins using str not dex, u need to set what your weapons use yourself anyway as far as I got it

a dropdown which defense the attack uses would be nice too

I'm on a crazy restrictive firewall and it won't allow connections to private home pages.

Can you post the files as an attachment to the original message? Otherwise, I can't get to them. =(

Would it be possible to do a racial dropdown for those races that are in the official PHBs? I know it would be impossible to predict every race that someone will want to play, but I figured at least the official ones could be covered and then if someone wants to play something crazy out of the MM or from say Dragon Magazine, then they can manually enter it. I think the majority of players are likely to pick a race from one of the (now) 3 PHBs.

Also, I want to say how awesome this sheet it. You guys have put a ton of work into it and I hope that you continue to develop it as time goes on.
