handless cleric(small rant)

Stumpy the handless wonder here,
Yeah the underhanded hand jokes are a bit out of hand. But having said jokes on hand is kinda handy(for my dm to have npc's say). Half-golem?
I am more interested in the arm of nyr and other items like it. Well we are playing again tonight so i will let everyone know what horrors befall me.

If I recall the Arm of Nyr is an artifact, which may make procuring it a tad on the rough side.

If you've got access to someone with item creation feats, though, making a gauntlet.. or a pair of gauntlets enchanted using Animate Object and affixed to the stumps with straps and the like (probably on the forearm and up to the elbow) would seem like a doable replacement.

You'll have to work on your Bruce Campbell voice though.

according to defenders of the faith the arm of nyr is simply a wonderous item. Because it gives you the required spells and feats to make it. and according to the dm guide artifacts cannot be created. as for the golem arms i will look into that thanks alot.

Golem Arms
The magical arms that Captain Varribo wears did not
actually come from a golem. When Jermot acquired them,
he didn’t really know what would happen when someone
put the arms on. Varribo was the obvious choice to test
them, so Jermot assured the tavern owner that they were
safe and watched carefully as he equipped them. They
worked just like his missing arms had worked, and Varribo
was so grateful for the “gift” that Jermot couldn’t bring
himself to ask for the arms back.
The “golem arms" magically imitate the arms that the
wearer originally had (or would have), granting the same
Strength and Dexterity as the character wearing them. Magic
armor automatically shifts to accommodate the shape of
the golem arms. The arms do not provide additional attacks,
even when worn by someone who already has arms, nor
do they provide the wearer with reach. A character could,
however, wield a two-handed weapon and one or moreshields simultaneously if he had both regular arms and the
golem arms as well.
Golem arms have a hardness of 10 and 35 hit points each.
The arms cannot be disarmed from an opponent in combat.
Donning or removing the arms takes 2 minutes.
Moderate enchantment and transmutation; CL 8th; Craft
Wondrous Items, baleful polymorph; Price 80,000 gp.

cleric? Sound like a wizards attempt at denying the will of the gods or twinking out a fighter

I once had a giant alligator bite the leg off my character, with no way to restore it in the foreseeable future. I was left with a barbarian hobbling around on a crutch like Long John Silver, and no way to effectively use the greatsword that was his specialty weapon. The DM actually expected me to be grateful that he hadn't killed my character outright!

Since I live close to you I might be able to give you a hand if your DM keeps getting out of hand.

In an effort to steer this thread away from bad jokes...

Methinks its time for you to consider becoming a half-golem or a variant thereof.

It's a pity they don't say exactly how many half-golem parts are required for that. I'd think only 1, but they aren't precisely clear.

Also, you might could go shopping for grafts of some sort. Funky artificial hands are quite possible. Of course, how you'd get the money out of your purse to pay for them is your problem. :)
