Good news! I'm totally shocked by this. We're NOT working tonight. The paper decided to delay distribution. We'll deliver the Friday papers with the Saturday edition. It's a real relief. I know others were worried also. I'll be able to stay home tonight.

The latest forecast has sustained winds of 40-60 mph. Gusts up to 75mph. So far we just have rain. The storm is hitting Florida as a cat 3. It will weaken but I'm not sure by how much as it nears the metro Atlanta area.

On a certain level, I often DID pay DMs/game night hosts. I paid by bringing snacks!

Still skeptical about naked commerce being viable anytime soon, though.

We get a lot of that up here on the CT coast. That's just a regular storm for us. If you've got a lot of trees in the yard, though, ya might want to tape up some of the windows.

Finally got to see Ragnarök ("Götterdämmerung"), the fourth and final part of the Niebelugn opera by Wagner, from the Gothenburg opera production.

I were supposed to have seen it back in 2021 but it was cancelled due to covid. Thankfully they had filmed it prior to that, and today I could watch it at a cinema.

It was a worthy finish.
