Unfortunately, we had a VERY small number of trick or treaters. Maybe 30% of our candy got distributed. It was so slow, our grrrl got bored and wandered off.

It was the deadest Halloween we’ve had in a decade or more. The last group showed up at 8PM.

So I thought my eyesight was getting worse, because I was looking at my computer screen a few minutes ago and realized that everything seemed harder to read.

...then I realized that my cat, who'd just jumped in my lap and was pawing at the keyboard for a moment, had somehow reduced the "view" setting on my web browser down to 90%.

I think I liked it better when he was trying to cripple me by rubbing up against my legs as I was going downstairs, as opposed to his trying to gaslight me into spending less time online.

My Lebanese “Mom” (one of my Mom’s best friends) just called me, asking for a photo she can give to a “cute RN” she met at the post-surgical rehabilitation center she’s in right now.

I’m going to send her one of my better pictures, but I’m a 57yo single man for reasons, most of which are MY hangups & issues. We’ll see.

Most of my life, I’ve been surrounded by women who think I needed to have a girlfriend/wife. Friends, family, random women in my church, women working at restaurants, my Dad’s patients, hair stylists…the list goes on.

I’m not averse to the concept. But it’s never worked out, and it’s never been personal- as in, no woman has tried to pick me off herself. I am utterly clueless as to what some are seeing that translates into “great catch…for someone else.”

The last woman someone tried to set me up with clearly had an image of me in her mind that did not conform to the real me. I tried to tell her that, but she wouldn’t listen. I eventually had to ghost her. (The whole situation sucked.)

I was fixed up twice. Both times didn't work out. The second attempt I took a woman to see Dogma. (That's how long ago it was. LOL) She was Catholic and offended by the movie.

I want to encourage you to give it a go. We'll never know if this is the time it works for you.
