HARN RPG products 30% off sale!!!

If you want material for a 15th level game where 99.99% of the game-world inhabitants are ants to be crushed beneath your feet, then perhaps Harn is not really your thing

However, if you have any need for well-designed, well-mapped villages, keeps and sites, the Harnic stuff is difficult to beat.

I've never found TSR/Wizard's cartography to my liking, and I prefer a slightly lower magic setting. Though I don't play Harnmaster and have never used Harn as a world in its own right, I've found the high quality of the less world-specific support material worth the slight premium. But then I'm a map nut...

Each to his own :)

(Incidentally, Patrick's site is very excellent. Go there.)

This is another reason to try out at least a castle book or a city. The maps are worth it alone. No need to worry about low level stuff since the maps are usuable in any setting.

Heh... Thanks man. :)

Anybody know why the Harn Forum has been down for the past day?

Some problems with the Forum script (phpBB)... Peter thinks it's probably related something the Host did on their end. Subscribe to the Harn List if you are having serious Forum DT's like I have been. It helps some, though I miss Shane's signature/avatar antics ;)

HarnManor and the two castles books are useful in any game. I would also recommend Kiraz for anyone in need of a well-designed abandoned dwarven city. It's empty of monsters, traps etc ready for you to add what you want. Very handy, and much better designed than the ruin in Forge of Fury.

Patrick's site is superb and well worth visiting if you are in need of some top quality maps.

Cheers

Richard

Kiraz, while it appears in the CGI shopping cart, does not appear in the descriptions in the online Harn catalog. I wondered what it was... thanks, Rich!

SALE ENDS SUNDAY!

Just got back from the post office where my latest Harn order was waiting for me. I saved $86, thanks to the 30% sale and am now completely overwhelmed with Harnic goodness! Egads, I'll be reading all these supplements for the next week, LOL. Looks like great stuff, but I knew it was gonna rock before I even ordered it. ;)

As I and others have said before, you can readily adapt and use Harn in other settings, even high fantasy and without using HarnMaster RPG rules. They are intended to be used with any rules set, after all, and 30% off is the right price to try Harn out!

Hurry, sale ends Sunday, June 16th!

PS: If you bought Harn because of this thread, please post and let me know, especially after you get it and have a chance to read it.

I ordered a bunch of stuff for use in my low-magic campaign setting. I appreciate attention to detail and internal consistency of the setting, and am adapting what I want from it into the d20 system. I do appreciate the obvious effort of the game designers to achieve consistency and integrity of Harnworld.

Hey, can anyone tell me more about Shorkyne? I am thinking about ordering it, but I'm not even sure where the place is in relation to Harn, LOL.

Is there anything else I should get before the sale is over tonight? I'm thinking about getting Shorkyne, Meldeyrn, Araka-Kalai, Kiraz, and Harn Player.

Also, I am confused as to whether I need Orbaal or Castles of Orbaal---CGI's site says that Castles includes a revision of the Orbaal article [from Orbaal] and a new color map, so I guess that means Orbaal still is the only place to find the remaining information advertised in it [Orbaal, not Castles]?

BTW: I'm not running HarnMaster rules, but d20/CoC.

Here's what I have collected so far from CGI, and I've found it all to be excellent in content:

CASTLES OF HARN
CITIES OF HARN/SON OF CITIES
HARN WORLD
HARN MANOR
HARN RELIGION

Kingdom Modules:
CHYBISA
KALDOR
KANDAY
RETHEM
THARDA

Adventures:
100 BUSHELS OF RYE
TROBRIDGE INN (d20)

Misc.:
HARN LORE #10

Pets & Sidekicks
