Harpoon stats where are they?

I recently read stats for the harpoon, but I can't seem to locate them again. I thought it was in Freeport but... If anyone can point me in the right direction it would help out. Thanks

It's in Sword & Fist and the Arms & Equipment Guide as I recall. Both are 3.0, but it seems like a fair deal for an exotic weapon given its stats and special uses, so all you'd need to do for 3.5 is give it an entry on damage for harpoons made for Small characters.

Harpoons as described in S&F are, IMO, broken. Can't recall if it was changed in the A&EG, but I doubt it. Along with the rules for the garrot (from S&S, IIRC).

Harpoon rules are in Sword and Fist, and reprinted in the Arms and Equipment Guide. FR-Races of Faerun has a variant harpoon, which shares most of the normal harpoon rules faults and shortcomings.

As greenslime pointed out, they are badly leaky and have some rather obvious gaps. I would call them useless, YMMV.

A rather good version of the harpoon with rules can be found in the Iron Kingdom Character Guide (Privateer Press ), which - even if not "official"/canon clearly illustrate how a Harpoon works with regard to restraining its target if succesfully hit, and what other considerations the WotC rules department missed when they did their writeup. Worthwhile read.
