Has anybody else noticed...

I´d planned to run a Dragonlance campaign sometime in the future, and copied a couple of 3.5 Draconian stat blocks into Microsoft Onenote for later use. They ended up between my archived 4e statblocks which i ripped out of Dungeon and Dragon. And when i looked through my compiled statblocks, it always went like this:
"Hmm nice creature! Hmm, cool! Yes, i can use that... AGH! 3e stablock, my eyes! Oooh, a lvl 27 phane! Cool."

So, pencil me in for a yes. I´ll be running 4e KotS and later RHoD, thank you very much.

One other thing that I found from running games is that I can pretty much convert from 3e to 4e almost immediately. Even if the creature does not exist in 4e, yet. I can very easily distill the "components" of a 3e creature and make it work for 4e, with hardly any work. Those with a very large stat block are a little harder, but if you know what they "feel" like in combat, creating powers on the fly is simple.

I've converted several adventures completely on the fly and the players did not even notice.

My next conversion project, not on the fly, will be Expedition to Castle Ravenloft.

It's even easier in my opinion to convert monsters from 2e-basic. They seem like they were designed with the idea of just giving thema cool power, and a general "how hard it is to fightness."

All you have to do is build what role you think it should be, and make sure the power it has does 4e damage, and you're good to go.

Oh, yeah. That too. It's just that I have so many good 3e adventures that I don't want to waste them. I also did an on the fly conversion of Slave Pits of the Undercity and my player's had a total blast with that one.
