Has anyone heard more about the new Alien vs Predator Movie ?

Hello All,

I heard that the new Alien vs Predator movie is going to have Lance "Best Ripped Apart Android Performance Ever" Henrikson in it and that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Glover are interested in the project too. Has anyone heard any other news and if these rumors are true ? Cheers All.

Rumors. According to everything I've read, Sigourney Weaver controls the franchise and has no desire to make another Alien movie. The other thing I heard is that if she did make one, it would be a "kinder, gentler" alien movie.

There used to be a site called http://www.upcomingmovies.com that was really good. It has since been converted into a yahoo site and is nowhere near as good as it used to be, so I'm not sure if you'll be able to find info on this there.

...Sigh !!!...does not sound promising but thanks for the update uv23....oh well maybe someone else will pick up the franchise and make an R rated (15 in the UK) full gore, with extra Blood and Guts AvP movie soon and ease all our suffering.....well maybe !!!

I've been hearing rumours about this project for ten years.

Last thing I heard was that Paul Anderson was spearheading it.

I rather want no AvsP movie than an Anderson one. He is unable
to make a good or successful movie. Yet, he keeps getting work.
He must be a very charismatic guy.

Actually, from what I heard, Weaver told FOX that she refused to do another Alien movie. Fox shrugged and said "It's called ALIENS not Ripley". She has no control over the franchise.

but then we heard for years rumors about Episode 1.

But I don't think AvsP will happen AFIK that's two different movie companies. FOX and whatever. They wont work together.

Such a shame... though I'd rather see Aliens Earth War than Aliens vs Predator. That being said however, I remember the surge of excitement I felt when I saw the aliens skeleton in the "trophy room" of the Predator's ship in Predator 2.

Oh and as far as rumors go, the last thing I remember reading on Alien 5 was talking about focusing more on the Aliens' home world.

Haven't heard anything about an AvsP movie in a long time, but I did hear that they are going ahead with Aliens 5 and planing a sixth movie also. For the life of me I cant find the links for the info though.
I do remember that the fifth movie was going to involve the aliens invading earth. They were going to be using dropships like from the very first craft where the aliens were found in the first alien movie.
Unfortunately Sigourney Weaver is going to be in both of the next sequals. I am sick of lieutenant Ripley, but Resurrection put an interesting twist on her.
