Has Enworld made you better?

What I mean is this, Has Enworld made you a better player/DM/RPG creator or whatever.
I was thinking about this the other day, I would definetly say that I am better in the areas outlined above due in part to Enworld.

I am a better DM as I've read tons of DM advice threads, or worst DM ever threads, or whatever. The same goes to being a player. I've taken lots of creative advice on how to make the game better for those at the table.

Just wondering if others have thought the same

Hell ya!! Not only has it made me better but my gaming groups wouldn't exist without it. So, am a better gamer as well as actually gaming because of it.

Hmm ... well, I would have to say no, primarily because I don't do a lot of gaming or DM'ing. I do a little bit of creating recently (where IS Treebore and SPiderMonkey's review of the adventure I threw together? :\ ), although I don't think enWorld directly contributed to it. Hmm.

But it has helped a lot in making me aware of other stuff out there in the d20 realm that are quite interesting. :)

Hell ya! I've learned a lot about how to be a better roleplayer, character creation tricks for optimization and speed, understanding of rules and how to adjudicate them, DMing techniques, how to analyze and choose whether to incorporate material in new rules supplements, and what makes for a ripping good yarn.

ps - Yes, Crothian, there is an echo in here...

Definitely! It has helped me be a better GM. It gives me a sounding board for a lot of ideas. It has made me aware of a lot of cool products that I wouldn't know of otherwise. Whenever I have a rules question I know that I can get an answer on the rules board (of course there will often be 3 or 4 different answers but that's another story :) ). It has also put me in contact with a whole lot of like-minded individuals to talk about my hobby with.

Just being able to get a variety of opinions on rules questions has helped immensely. It's also great to see what other people are doing, since that seems to inevitably get my own creativity going.

I don't know about "better" or "worse" - but it has been an invaluable resource for me. There are thousands and thousands of ideas here; thousands of rules clarifications; a dozen novels' worth of advice; more resources (monsters, classes, rules, house rules, NPCs, tools) than I ever dreamed could exist - plus this site has led me to an equal amount of stuff elsewhere.

You'd have to ask my players if, over the last 7 years, my DMing has improved. I do know that it has changed, and I look at things differently these days.

I think that it has helped my game infinately. Be it character ideas, product revies/recomendations, adventure hooks. All aspects of my rpg expirience has been improved by this site.
