D&D 4E Has the 4E Announcement Changed Your Buying Plans?

Now that 4E has been officially announced, has it changed your mind about what gaming products you are going to buy in the lead up to 4E's release?

I know it has certainly me rethink what books I want to get next. There were a few monster books on my to buy list that are now down near the bottom of my very long want list. I am also tossing up whether or not to get quite a few of the Complete books that I have been thinking about getting soon. I'll only get a year or so use out of them before my gaming group switches over to 4E now so I'm undecided at this point.

Another product that I was going to buy, but will hold off on for now is the Spell Templates from Steel Sqwire. They are a little pricey for what you get for my liking and I really don't want to buy them and find out that a Fireball has a different size or shape in 4E. It is also a product that I can make do without for now.

There are still a number of products that I'm still going to go ahead and purchase. Adventures are still on my list. If an adventure is really good I think it will be worth the effort in converting it to 4E if I have to. Minis are probably another thing that I will still buy. There are a couple of "fluffier" books on my to-buy list that I'll still probably get.

On the plus side, I might be able to get some of these books a bit cheaper as publishers and retailers try to get rid of some of their excess 3.xE stock.

So what about you? How has the 4E announcement changed what you are going to buy?

Nope. WotC-wise, I planned on getting EtRoGH, and that's it for all the books that had been announced. Picked it up today.

Still a subscriber to Pathfinder and GameMastery at Paizo.

It's all good.

Oddly enough, I am thinking pretty seriously about buying the Rules Compendium when it comes out now and I know I wouldn't have bought it without the 4e announcement. Now I know that there won't be more errata or additions to 3e so the Compendium is essentially all of 3.5 in a single volume.

Actually, yes. I went through my wish list (huge as it is) and reprioritized several things, specifically moving Magic Item Compendium, Spell Compendium and Rules Compendium down the list a ways, where they had been top priority.

Now, my top priority list consists only of Dungeon Tiles until 4e comes along.

It's going to have a dire effect on my non-D&D spending. The only gaming products I'm planning on buying are 360 games and a few FFG boardgames. I was planning on buying more RQ stuff and the new Traveller, but with 4e coming out I just can't get excited about other RPG's right now.

Have City of Brass on Order. Just picked up Monsternomicon 2. Happy with the purchases thus far. :)

I will have to see what my gaming situation is when Goodman Game's mega module comes out. I'd like to get it but unless I see it at Amazon.com or something for a decent discount... might be a hard pill to swallow for a near obsolete edition. (Heck, I wonder if Joe can reschdule it to be 4th ed rules and have it come out when 4th ed comes out. That would be AWESOME!)

I'm just the opposite. I have 4 each of books for M&M and WFRP ordered from Amazon. I have a funny feeling I'm going to convert to 4E after all, but I won't be playing for a couple years, I don't think.

No, not for PnP roleplaying products. Recent products (both WotC and other) have failed to catch my eye. I might reduce spending on other forms of entertainment like video games though.

Nope ... WotC had already disappointed me so many times in the past that I was already avoiding them. And 4E didn't really impress me (or disappoint me) enough to have an impact on my decision regarding WotC. I'd already started buying more 3rd party products, and I've started switching my games off of WotC settings. So no change for me.
