The question is in the subject. A friend and I are having a dispute. Who's right?
Has there ever been rules forbidding ranged attacks during Rage?
Nothing in there about ranged attacks.... And I can quite easily envisage a raging barbarian using throwing axes or javelins. While raging, a barbarian cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except for Balance, Escape Artist, Intimidate, and Ride), the Concentration skill, or any abilities that require patience or concentration, nor can he cast spells or activate magic items that require a command word, a spell trigger (such as a wand), or spell completion (such as a scroll) to function. He can use any feat he has except Combat Expertise, item creation feats, and metamagic feats.
Seconded. In fact, when I read the first post, an image of a running barbarian in rage, throwing a javelin, was the first thing that came to mind. Throwing ranged weapons is fine.Legildur said:From the 3.5 SRD: [snip]
