Hasbro cuts 125 jobs

Around here (the netherlands) i see very few lay offs around xmas, do we have greater social feeling, or is it just that it doesn't really matter when we lay off people?

I think it has more to do with continuing benefits. Usually things like health benefits, vacation time, sick time, etc... roll over at the start of the new year so companies make their cuts prior to the new year.
