I got the PHB and MM, mostly for the quick reference at my PC and laptop and for when I need the cut and paste, which will be a lot since I am converting the rest of my AoW campaign to 4e.

Nope, I buy tons of pdfs and I'm a little interested in getting the PH and MM in pdf form, but not enough to pay $25 each for them. They are within my monthly pdf budget but there are tons of things more appealing to me right now.

Goodman Games DCCs are getting all my pdf budget right now unless there is a massive Christmas in July sale at rpgnow with great deals.

DCC 35 Known World Gazeteer Campaign Setting and 51 Castle Whiterock in particular are calling to me.

Nope.

I'll wait to see if they get updated with errata before making any purchase. I don't like the price at all either. If my group end up going 4th edition I'll probably pick them up if they are updated at anything other than the snail's pace I've come to expect from WotC.

The other deciding factor will be if my groups want to go 4E and so far we're still unsure if 4E is for us.

nope, and I am not going to. Its bad enough that I bought the players handbook. I am seriously hoping that my group does not move over the 4th edition.

Nope. I've already bought the physical books, so I have no qualms about using Those Other downloaded PDFs for my quick reference needs.

What he said, though it's worth noting that the leaked PDFs are an earlier revision and feature a lot (more) mistakes, not to mention they're missing some stuff too (i.e. the list of monsters in the back of the MM doesn't have pages as it does in the real books). So while the leaked PDFs are handy, one shouldn't rely on them too heavily.

Question to those of you who like the idea of copy-pasting: what do you do about formatting? Unless you're taking a screenshot and cropping out the stat block, the formatting's not going to be maintained. Do you just live with that, or what?

Usually the monster statblocks of OEF 3e pdfs I've bought have copied well giving one line per line etc. Tables are the only things I've found not to translate well.

Try out the pdf preview of the 4e zombies and see how the stat blocks copy for you. I forget if the 4e MM preview goes far enough into the book to have a sample statblock you can copy.
