Have you ever killed a PC on purpose?

I've tried to kill a PC once. But I always roll in the open.
He acted really stupid, kinda telling the big mafia boss in town that his mother works at the docks and his sister is pregnant from the husband of his daughter who mistakenly thought her to be of his favorite horses...
He got chased by half of the town over the rooftops, through the sewers, around the harbour and two days into the wilderness... but he survived. Sheer luck, horrible dicerolls, not one will save failed... melee battles against four fightertypes at once...
He survived. After his bodycount got at about 60, another mafia group in the town took the chance and overwhelmed his enemies...

first adventure in my new campaign.
Paladin, Rogue and Monk on a scouting mission into a raider's fort.
first room has 6 kobolds with crossbows.
Rogue gets hit hard, so he hides.
The other 2 kill 5 kobolds.
Rogue steps out to kill the last one and gets nailed.
party binds his wounds, leave him behind
second room has a bug bear (the boss, CR2)
Monk bites the dust quickly
Paladin surrenders.
Life his hard, and so is paying attention to your orders (scout, not clean out).

In a game I'm currently playing in, my character has a huge bull's eye on his head from the DM. Of course, this is for plot purposes... a bunch of wizards and a crazy lich want him dead. :-D
They came close once... a 12th level fighter/psychic warrior still doesn't like getting two lightning bolts, magic missile, an attempted phantasmal killer (failed, thankfully) and a hyperactive, angry dwarf with a warhammer pounding his legs twice... all in the same round! (Went from 70 HP down to 6... with about 30 points of healing along the way, and a human shield from the party bard! :-D I find the bard part hilarious...)
My DM is devious... its hella fun to play!
