A handful over the years. The most recent attempted convert ended in failure when he decided that he didn't want to spend 6-7 hours at a time with it.

"...It was then that I realized that I'm just not into these games as much as you and Eric. Up until Friday night I really did plan on coming and spending a few hours with it, but 6-7? If I take the game that seriously, it's not fun anymore and honestly I just can't take the game that seriously."

Oh well. You win some, you lose some.

I have always said, when you can't find gamers, you make gamers.

Exactly. With moving a lot, this is how I get to game at all.

And I am working on second-generation as well, another kind of making.

About 8 or 10 or so, by my count. Current group has my new gf, who's new to it, another girl who's a friend who is new, two buddies of mine who I introduced last year at my 17th Birthday Party (first time DMing :p), and a guy who's been playing for 20 years. It's great fun.

There are more who've fallen by the wayside, but that happens with anything in life. I'm just jucky my two best friends and my gf are cool with my nerdiness and game with me :D

Yes, I have.

In fact, I may have introduced a city to D&D. It's possible that when I started running a D&D game in Calcutta in 2000, nobody was playing D&D there.

I have. Both have turned out to be long-term players. The only problem is that they have gone on to consider my style of GMing normal, which is just very very funny.

I introduced the majority of my current group to RPGs. Some just see it as another thing to do when we hang out, but I think some of the players that I've brought into the fold will be sticking with the game for quite some time.

Yes.

My nephew, who had only played computer RPGs, became a regular in Olgar Shiverstone's game (until he moved to Vegas and his wife became a topless dancer).

I've also introduced my sons to gaming. They are only ages 8, 6 (almost), and 4, but they are catching on well and have the greatest time.
