I went to Oahu to see a friend of mine a couple of years ago, and she took me to Hawaii Kai (where her uncle lives) and from there we went to Kapolei (where she lived at the time). Just looking at the mountains was amazing. One place I wanted to go but didn't have the time was Byodo Inn Temple (I think that's the name). Diamond Head is a must too.
