I’ve never quite understood the negativity toward Hawkeye in the MCU films.

Everyone has their own opinions of course, but I really like him in the films and I think Renner does a great job portraying him

Totally agree. The negativity about Hawkeye in the MCU has baffled me from the start.

And this looks to be absolutely fantastic.

This was a really good run. Hawkeye is cool.

His last few series certainly had their moments! They played him a bit more stupid and a bit more lethal than I liked from the previous 30+ years (at that time) of following him in the Avengers comics though.

It looks okay. I might give it a watch, despite Hawkeye being the least interesting Avenger to me. But the lighter tone certainly helps.

Same. They put in Black Widow and Hawkeye as top tier unpowered agents, to give us an "everyman" who is baffled by what's going on around them. I think it works exceedingly well and liked both characters. Widow's, "Sure. It'll be fun" deadpan delivery in "The Avengers" and Hawkeye's "and I've got a bow" in "Age of Ultron" are perfect "what the hell" moments for the characters.

Besides, it doesn't matter if Clint Barton is uncool. The Hawkeye who is cool will also be in this series.
