OOC: Yup.

"The first step is to master maintaining a blade of pure mental energy." Italimelk said, more to himself than to anyone else. "But the second one is to learn how to continue maintaining a blade even when you release it from your hand. And I think that I've finally figured that out." And he whips a blade of energy at the cultist.

(Throw mind blade)

Combat, Round 4

Seat steps into the fray, swinging his torch at Skeleton #5 in a threatening manner, drawing it's attention ever so slightly.

Raven makes a clever feint towards the skeleton, and the flying head seems quite surprised when she alters her swing at it. She misjudges the distance, however, and her swing falls short.

In a continuing bid for Raven's lifeblood, Skeleton #4 claws madly at her, but her defenses hold.

Anvuss, seeing Seat maneuver in, moves to C7 and hammers Skeleton #5 into bone shards and dust with his morningstar.

OOC: Tali is up next. You posted that he throws his mindblade. He is currently squeezing in E4 and is threatened by the orc with the longspear (who appears to have readied to attack Tali should he move). Let me know if Tali is moving to where he isn't squeezing before he attacks, and go ahead and give me an attack roll, don't forget the +2 bonus from Seat.

Initiative (Round 4):
Seat = 25
Raven = 21
Skeleton #4 = 20
Anvuss = 14
* Action Paused *
Tali = 9
Shoot & Fang = 9
Skeleton #5 = 8
Black Veiled Woman's Head = 8
Half-orc cultist = 6

Damage recap:
Tali (11 of 16 hp remaining)
Fang (9 of 13 hp remaining)
Raven (11 of 17 hp remaining)

Black veiled woman (Skeleton) (destroyed)
Skeleton #2 (destroyed)
Skeleton #1 (destroyed)
Skeleton #3 (destroyed)
Skeleton #5 (destroyed)

OOC: Hmm... I'm getting a bit confused by the interaction of reach and AoOs here, and not sure if Tali being 'squeezed' into the square he's in has any mechanical effect. I think the only ways he can attack without drawing an AoO are to throw his mind blade from where he's at, or possibly Tumble in to close to melee range.

[sblock=IcyCool]IcyCool: Just a reminder (its not a huge deal), but you need to keep me updated via email when any XP or other rewards have been made:

After the group is filled and the adventure thread starts, the DM will need to record all awards information as the thread progresses. After every point where experience should be awarded, the DM needs to email the judge that has offered to watch their game with this information. The judge will keep these notes on experience and treasure, and will use them to award the party at the end of the adventure (or if the adventure ends prematurely). This is done because it is very important that the judges have ready access to the DM’s notes in order to deal with a missing DM or other problem.
I do check this thread every once in a while to make sure there isn't any rule calls or what not that have been asked of me, but I probably miss these little details. :)[/sblock]

OOC: Hmm, I think you're right about the 'squeezing'. Let's just ignore that condition then and treat Tali as not squeezing (it was an off the cuff ruling anyway). As far as reach and AoOs, here's the quick rundown.

The half-orc (clearly wary of Tali and his friends) stepped back and rather than attacking Tali he readied an action to attack Tali should Tali move from his current location. He currently threatens Tali from his position with his longspear. So if Tali moves, the half-orc's readied action triggers and he attacks (note this is not an AoO). If Tali throws his mindblade, he provokes an AoO for using a ranged weapon within a threatened area.

Does that make more sense? The half-orc is sort of in a mexican standoff with Tali.

[sblock=stonegod]I completely missed that little bit. Here's the post with the partial xp reward. There was a treasure post after the cultists were defeated as well, I'll dig that up later.

OOC: Okay, since I'll get hit with a readied action if I move, and draw an AoO if I close without tumbling successfully or if I throw my mind blade -- i.e. I can't really do anything without getting attacked -- I think I'm going to go ahead and throw my mind blade -- +5 to hit (the DK bonus applies to skeletons, but not orcs), d6+2 dmg, use AP on modified 10 to modified 15.

atk;dmg;AP (if needed) (1d20+5=25, 1d6+2=8, 1d6=6) AP not used; Natural 20 is a threat, so ... atk;dmg;AP (if needed) [threat] (1d20+5=8, 1d6+2=7, 1d6=1) failed to confirm (AP not used)... so Tali hits for 8 dmg with a thrown mind blade.

Combat, Round 4 Cont.

The half orc, seeing Tali hurl his blade, tries to take advantage of the opening, but fails. He seems surprised at Tali's speed. He blinks once and looks down at his chest where the glowing blade of light is still buried, and he slowly crumples to the floor, unconcious and bleeding. His spear rattles as hit drops to the stairs, and Tali can make out the slightly distant sound of running footsteps.

The summoned wolf moves up to snap(forgot to add benefits from Seat, but it still misses) at Skeleton #4, catching nothing but air in it's teeth. Fang circles the other direction, and comes close to getting a solid bite in, but the skeleton proves to be too fast.(1d20+5=11)

The flying head tries to fly around Raven's shield (moving 5' to C5), and fares no better from it's new vantage point.

Everyone can hear the distant ringing of the bells at the lightning rail station.

OOC: Seat is up next in round 5.

Seeing that all what's left to do is to mop up the remaining enemies, Seat decides to try his luck again with the torch at the skeleton, and again fails.

Edit: ooc: Moving to F6 before attacking the last skeleton
