Heart of Artifice: Part I--Engineered Enigma

*The guards don't seem to fall for Anvuss's obvious ploy, though one guard is hesitant for a moment until he sees that the others are just ignoring it and assumes that they know best. Then Anvuss uses that opening to nearly smash the guard into the ground, but he barely turns the blow to a minor bashing by twisting with the hit.*

(OOC: GuardB takes 3, total 7)

"The Spark first--He has Thelanium and is clearly more dangerous. Deal with the Clank later."

*The final enemy nods and gets in position, attacking Kharas, but both he and the first guard fail miserably to hit.*

(OOC: Not drain--just damage, thankfully. It'll go away 1 per day)

 

[Velmont]

Kharas swing again at guard, trying to only knowck him off, but that make him miss completly his swing. "Anvuss, we run thought and try to take a flyingdrake, the dragon-like flying device."

 

[Patlin]

Morningstar Attack (1d20+3=11, 1d8+1=9)

Anvuss's next swing is a lot heavier, but most likely his target is able to step out of the way and avoid the hit altogether.

Anvuss will then take a 5' step in the direction indicated by Kharas.

*The enemy, though flanking, fails to hit Kharas with every strike this time.*

"Ha! Do you think we'd just leave a Drakeflyer for you? Foolish Rogue Spark! Even if you kill us, you won't get out of here before backup comes. All glory to the Holy One!"

ooc: Kharas goes before Anvuss, right? I'm waiting to see if he runs for it or attacks before I post my action.

 

[Velmont]

Kharas, hoping the leader is bluffing, after all they had to have come here somehow, he diengage from his opponent (trying to take teh less AoO as possible) and dash for outside the temple.

*Because he was flanked and surrounded, his withdraw leaves Kharas open to two attacks (though he avoids taking a third), but without the flanking bonus, the enemy cannot hit past his armour. As he moves forty feet towards the temple stairs, he can't see any Drakeflyers from here. They do not appear to be bluffing. Maybe they had friends who flew back with whatever they used to get here?*

 

[Patlin]

Anvuss, who moved 5 feet away from the nearest enemy last round, will take another 5' step away from them and imbue himself with Bull's Strength. If possible, he'll take the 5' step in a direction such that it blocks the most direct path from the bad guys to Kharas.
