Anvuss will charge again, but this time he'll target the crossbow rather than his opponent directly. The inanimate object proves to clever for him to overcome in his bout of clumsiness, and he draws an attack of opportunity.

He can charge up to 80 feet thanks to the expeditious retreat spell.

No, my oops. I forgot it was a scroll and not based on my own CL. The scroll was definitely CL 1. I take it it's been more than 10 rounds, then? In that case, instead of charging Anvuss will run to catch up, arriving in the same spot but not getting an attack.

Anvuss makes a run for it, trying to get back to Kharas. If possible, he'll try to obtain cover along the way.

*Anvuss heads back towards Kharas, at a distance now of 240 feet (but less than half of that to get back to the temple). He moves 60 feet, almost to the steps leading up to the temple. His opponent draws his crossbow while moving forward 30 feet, and he fires, missing Anvuss.*
