Help a poor monk get Divine Grace!

Set-up: Epic-level game, 32nd level. Obscene stats, lots of money, whatnot.

I'm playing a race that has barbarian as its favored class. However, I'm playing him as a monk. Since our group has adopted the epic-level philosophy of "Abandon all shame, for the DM will have none", he was cheesed out to get Divine Grace through Soldier of Light (from Deities & Demigods).

Soldier of Light requires the user to be NG. No prob, he started out as CG and moved to NG and then LG. However, it also requires the user to STAY NG. You see my problem now?

Neither I, nor the DM, nor our resident rules guru noticed this; I just noticed it about an hour ago, and have been cussing myself out ever since. We're currently on hiatus, *but* the game should start again soon now that DM has moved. So, obviously, I need to fix this. And, of course, I'd like to keep Divine Grace if at all possible, for that +12 boost to all saves.

So...that's where y'all come in. I figure my options are:

1) Beg the DM to let me have an alternate monk class that gets Divine Grace. Only problem is, what do I give up in exchange?

2) Beg the DM to allow me to keep with SoL after moving to LG. This might work, as the DM also allowed me to have half-dragon for a +2 LA since I didn't pick a breath weapon/immunity, and I did specify that Tolthrak kept the sun deity as his patron.

3) Find another prestige class that gives Divine Grace or an equivalent fairly early on. This I'm having problems with; we're limited to Dragon and stuff with Dungeons & Dragons on it, and I've looked through my entire collection. Is there anything in Kingdoms of Kalamar that's even close to what I'm looking for?

Is there anything else I'm missing? Thanks in advance!

The most obvious solution to me would be to swop SOL levels for Paladin levels. Or is there some reason why this would not work?

I'd eat a hideous multiclass penalty, since I'd have one non-favored core class at 19th level (monk) and one non-favored class at 2nd level (paladin).

My initial solutional build was 3 racial HD (+4 LA), Half-dragon paragon 3, Brb 1, Pal 2, Mnk 19. Part of my cussing was that it took me a while to realize why this won't work.

Holy liberator is a PRC that grants Divine grace. Requires CG to join, not sure if you have to stay that though, it's in Defends of the Faith. You could also ask about the paladin as a PRC varient in Unearthed Arcana.

If you lose access to a Requirement of a Prestige Class, you lose access to all class features except BAB and Base Save Bonuses.

CG is a Requirement of the Holy Liberator class.

Of course, your "hideous multiclass penalty" is only 20% - as low as they come.

You can do it as a Lawful Evil Monk 19 / Blackguard 2 - Dark Blessing gives the same benefit as Divine Grace.

How about the "Paladin as PrC" that appears everywhere from time to time? CW had one, right? If you can't find a print resource, check out Call of Duty from rpgnow.com -- it's a good pdf which includes just such a PrC.

Right, forgot about multiclassing penalties. In that case, your best bet may be to take a level of Contemplative from Defenders of the Faith and select the Mysticism domain as your first prestige domain. Its granted power works like Divine Grace. You should be able to get enough ranks in Knowledge (Religion) from your half-dragon paragon levels to qualify for the class.

Nope, you're thinking of the Prestige Paladin from Unearthed Arcana. That wouldn't work either as you need to be able to turn undead and cast protection from evil to qualify. That generally means a level of cleric, and we'll be back to multiclassing penalties again.
