Help for Gnome-Wizard

I'm creating a Gnome Wizard (Enchanter), and was wondering what sort of hints as to what spells & feats to take. The (adjusted) stats I rolled are as follows (as per the rules of our campaign, i can't change the order):

Str 9
Dex 13
Con 15
Int 16
Wis 10
Cha 12

Assuming 1st level:

If you can use feats from the Forgotten Relams/Faerun books, take "Spellcasting Prodigy" which would give you an effective 18 INT for spells & spellcasting. Also, Sleep is the bomb for 1st level enchantment spells.
 

Spell Focus (Enchantment) is pretty obvious. It's also pretty darn good. Great 1st level Enchantment spells are the obvious ones: Sleep and Charm Person.

Skill-wise, you'll get 2 + 3 skills: Spellcraft and Concentration are required. Also take Alchemy, Knowlege (Arcana) and Knowlege (The Planes). Now you'll be in a good position to become an Alienist! :D

And, for that matter, about half the wizard PrC in Tome and blood. A lot of them seem to use two or more knowledge skills as a requirement, or require knowledge (the planes)
 

What sources are you allowed to use? This usually helps out in determining what spells you might want or even just feats.
