Help me pick a PRC for my Barbarian

Frenzied berserkers are great. Very much the barbarian's barbarian. And you can't take that whole attacking his teammates thing too seriously. He's just, y'know, doing his thing. Wizards cast spells. Clerics heal. Rogues are sneaky.

Frenzied berserkers kill their friends.

Frenzied Berserker is a great PrC. Lots of fun. Of course, I say that because I play one with a few levels of Paladin of Freedom, and the Righteous Wrath feat. I don't worry so much about taking out a team mate (because honestly, if I were forced to turn on them I'd have a good shot at a TPK - they're not very coordinated, or aware of what they can do :().

But still. Massive damage = good fun. :)

I had a Frenzied Berserker travel with my PCs on an adventure once. They didn't know she was a FB until after they killed the dragon and she kept fighting... good times... good times...

Don´t think frenzied berserker should be played as pc.
It´s great fun though to make one as npc and throw it against the pc:s
Says the DM who created large size human with str36 and 10 levels FB just to bug the players.
Lets see how those metagaming buggers handle him.
I´m not too evil, am I?

Frenzied beserker is a stupid PrC with abilities that make no sense. Don't even go there, it is the most ridiculous thing I've seen published for d20 (and that's going some).

For the character, I'd suggest

1) Stick Barbarian all the way, since barbarians get a lot of cool goodness.

2) You really ought to be asking your DM, not ENworld, since Prestige Classes are the province of a DM... which is why they where in the DMG, not the PHB. The DM is in a much better position to judge what would fit in with the campaign anyhow.

Cheers

Frenzied Warrior from Complete Warrior is awesome for Barbarians, IMO.

I've only seen this work well on NPC's or partie's that are 'neutral' at best and don't mind killing you when you get in their way.

If you have Book of Exalted Deeds and feel like being a REALLY good barbarian, you can't really go wrong with Champion of Gwynharwyf. They get paladin-like abilites such as smite evil, divine grace, spells, damage reduction AND these levels stack for the purpose of rage and its version: Rage, greater rage and mighty rage. It's downright awesome, but it's really only suitable if you feel like being a REALLY good barbarian.

Stick Barbarian

Now that would make an awesome PrC.
