Tapestry of Armaments

This finely woven, cloth tapestry depicts twelve unarmed and unarmoured knights in various poses. Three are mounted, two are posed as if holding a bow, and one as if carrying a crossbow. The rest are posed as if carrying weapons and/or shields. A stylized border runs around the edge of the tapestry. The tapestry appears very old and delicate.

When a weapon, suit of armour, or shield is placed upon the tapestry and the proper prayer spoken aloud (“May my armour stay strong, my shield stay true, and my weapon stay readied”), the item slowly sinks into the tapestry. Within moments, the item reappears within the tapestry in the appropriate position (e.g. armour appears on a knight, a weapon appears in the hand of a knight, etc.). Up to 6 one-handed weapons, 3 two-handed weapons (including lances), 2 bows, 1 crossbow, 12 suits of armour, and 6 shields can be stored within the tapestry. Attempting to add further items causes an already stored item of the appropriate type to be “bumped” out of the tapestry (determined randomly). The tapestry can hold both magic and mundane items. It takes 1 full round to unroll the tapestry and 1 full round to retrieve/store an item. The tapestry has 2 hp, hardness 0, and a break DC of 5. It takes +50% damage from fire.

[I'm totally guessing on the price; I used Leomund's Secret Chest as a guide. That spell, and Shrink Item, would be pre-reqs. What do ya' think?]

I wouldn't price it as that much.

First to lay out a tapestry to put in and take out items would be at least a full round action.

second compare it to a efficient quiver.

Efficient Quiver: This appears to be a typical arrow container capable of holding about twenty arrows. It has three distinct portions, each with a nondimensional space allowing it to store far more than would normally be possible. The first and smallest one can contain up to sixty objects of the same general size and shape as an arrow. The second slightly longer compartment holds up to eighteen objects of the same general size and shape as a javelin. The third and longest portion of the case contains as many as six objects of the same general size and shape as a bow (spears, staffs, or the like). Once the owner has filled it, the quiver can produce any item she wishes, as if from a regular quiver or scabbard. The efficient quiver weighs the same no matter what’s placed inside it.

Moderate conjuration; CL 9th; Craft Wondrous Item, secret chest; Price 1,800 gp;Weight 2 lb.

Even though you can carry different items you carry less. the staff space is equal to your 1 handed weapons the javelin space equal to 3 2- handed weapons bows and crossbow. The armor and shield space is actually a bigger advantage. So compare that to maybe a bag of holding. (I'm not gonna calculate the weight but I'm guessing type 2 bag would do) at 5K but you can only put armor and shields in there. so that severely limits your choices. So I would think it is only 1/5th the value or 1K. So a round about price of 2K-2.5K Especially considering the time limit to use and the bulk it involves.

Just my veiw of things. Hope it didn't muddy yours :)
