Help Tweak A Dragon Disciple (my players, stay out!)

This is a named NPC. She needs scrutiny re: feats, maneuvers, gear, and skills. Further progression would probably be Ab Champ.

Well... as a 10th level Dragon Disciple, her creature type is Dragon. This will make Alter Self fun.

Arcane Strike is often a good feat for a Dragon Disciple, but this build has no high level spells to make it really worthwhile. If you plan on advancing as an Ab Champ, it may be worth it.

BAB should be 11, not 13.

You might want to look at the Improved Familiar variants that are listed in the Complete Warrior for the Hexblade. Some of them may be worthwhile... and with this characters HP total, they won't be too squishy.

That's why I picked it :D I'm not sure what the best dragon form is, though. There's probably something with high natural armor, but its claw and bite attacks might be weak.

I don't know . . . all those 2nd level slots are going to be powering Wraithstrike all the time. The same applies to those rods of lesser extend.

Thanks.

Hmm, what kind of improved familiar would you suggest? It seems to me that ~100 hit points is still pretty squishy at 15th level; a single harm spell would be more than enough to kill it.

In the SRD, I think you are limited to a Wyrmling Green Dragon... which, I guess, is useful for mobility (good fly speed, decent swim speed and water breathing). Everything else is either too small or too many HD. Checking out the Spawn of Tiamat from MMIV and various other things is probably worhtwhile.

Remember that they also get your saves. A blink dog wouldn't be bad. Blinking on top of a decent hp pool and good saves makes for a decent defense. Alternately, a Pseudodragon would be useful outside of combat.

The only one I recall is the bluespawn godslayer, and those were presented first as Outsiders and later as Monstrous Humanoids. I don't think they were ever Dragon.

I suppose I could take the Draconians from DragonLance. I know I have statistics for Baaz, but I wonder if Kapaks or Bozaks are < 5 HD.

Those do sound like excellent possibilities, though in this particular case, Blink Dog and Pseudodragon are both good and/or chaotic, and this NPC has to be lawful neutral for preestablished story reasons. But it is excellent advice, and thanks :)

I'm pretty sure that you can be one step away... which would allow either Blink Dog (LG) or Pseudodragon (NG).

Actually, though godslayers are Monstrous Humanoid, they are dragonblood subtype and are considered dragons for the purpose of effects (good or bad) that relate to race.
