My group is going to start a high level (14th level) campaign that will lead into immortality/demi-godhood via MGP's Immortals Handbook. It's an open DM campaign with no real direction as of yet. Less of an emphasis on high end combat, and more of an emphasis being an immortal (including the community) in D&D/Dragonstar (haven't decided the environment yet). Combat will definitely be part of the action, just not the largest part.
So far, it looks like it will be run similar to Highlander (a hidden community that interacts with the normal world) although some may go the god-king route. The group will be less cohesive, with the possibility of players fighting and killing each other.
The current players are a rakshasa, a vrock, a 1/2 dragon gnome, and a mindflayer (most of us are monster classing).
NOTE: I'm not looking for means to min/max dice, skills, or feats. I'm looking to creat the world all this activity takes place in. I'd love any feedback, ideas, or advice (for and against) about running this type of campaign.
Thanks in advance.
