Help with another side quest [SPOILERS]

Li Shenron

Legend
Hello :)

I had a weekend of total freedom, so I re-installed NWN and tried it again after the 1st time it didn't please me very much. This time seems to be quite fun actually, probably because I gave up the idea of playing my fav chars (arcane casters) in favour of an easier one (elven archer cleric) :p

I have bee going around the maps and already retrieved 3 waterdhavian creatures. In the meantime I have located 2/3 of the tombs of the never, but I cannot figure out at all how to open the doors. I guess I am just missing the point!

I have the 3 objects which I suppose they open the doors: the ceremonial shield, sword and arrows. At the great graveyard, the note found near the tomb entrance seems to hint that the shield must be used ("A wall at arm's length") while the note behind the bookshelf in Blacklake seems to hint at the arrow ("A splinter delivered with flight"). Well, I can equip the shield but that doesn't help open the door, and the arrow cannot even be equipped just as the sword. Just having them in the inventory doesn't do anything. I tried to left-click, right-click, drag&drop to the door, attack the door, check the door's and items' radial menus... I just can't get the doors open.

Am I overlooking the obvious? :p

The Evil Pillar in Neverwinter Wood

I have actually already moved on to the Luskan and then the Beorunna's Well scenarios in NWN, so I guess it's too late to discover how to do this side quest which I have forgotten about... :(

There was an Evil Pillar in Chapter 2, IIRC it was on the road to Neverwinter Woods, or otherwise on the location south of Port Llast. The pillar has a sort of button to press, but it wouldn't work unless someone managed to decipher the runes.

Well I obviously didn't manage to find the way, but it came back to my memory... what did I miss? :)

Yup you have to choose certain words.. and the scroll in the chest mentioned above tells you which ones..

Takes you to a places with some chests and a bunch of undead.. and a portal back out.

"Nether shall rule."

HTH

Ah! That is what I have missed then. I always miss stuff when walking the forest area during nighttime :p They should have given the spell light a larger range, because it really doesn't help!
