Water and asprin. Water, mainly.

You have a nasty headache because you dehydrated yourself last night, and your body is telling you that it needs water. In the future, having a good-sized glass of watter every so often will really reduce the pain and possibility of headaches. Now, if you binge-drink to the point of sickness or passing out...there is nothing really to do except to suck it up and realize that your body is telling you you are a moron.

I agree add bread to this as well, I usually did water, aspirin and bread before I went to sleep, worked like a charm....back in the mid-eighties that is :eek:
 



well at the time I could barely see the screen....it didnt even occur to me to post in there...I just tagged it OT and threw it out.
 

Bouillon is the magic word. It does not only refill your lost water resources, but supplies you with much needed salt that had been washed out together with the water. Actually, the salt loss causes the headache. Good luck :)!

Edit: Of course, eating crackers has a similar effect ;).

To avoid the hangover in the first place, force yourself to drink water now and then throughout the night as you're drinking the stronger stuff.

But if you don't do that, next morning you need salty liquid--lots of it. Canned chicken broth, boullion cubes, miso soup, anything like that. You'll need to plan on consuming plenty--I always needed at least 16 ounces, and usually more like 32. You don't have to chug it, just make yourself a pot full, and every 20 minutes or so fill a mug. Keep sipping. And sipping.

Before you know it you'll feel almost normal.:)
 

Drown yourself with water. Drink it down like a champ. Eat pretzels. Eat lots of them. Works like a charm for me

*And the college kid happily scoops up all the other suggestions for hangover remedies... :D*
