I didn't get a suicidal vibe so much as a cutting vibe. There's no indication that she doesn't feel pain from the injuries, just that she always heals afterwards. Really kinda creepy.

I got the no pain vibe and didn't consider her suicidal at all until I saw everyone online saying it.

Webcam mom is upset because she donated $25,000 to a private school so her 10 year old kid can learn to fix broken 'logic units' on circuit boards (huh?). Even though she is apparently $50k in the hole.

She borrowed $30K, the mob just bumped the amount she owed up to $50K because she was late paying. And the $30K was spent on the donation and tuition for the school. What do you think she borrowed the money for?

Am I the only one that didn't get a suicidal vibe from the cheerleader? It seemed like she was bothered by her power (Boo hoo, now I can't have a normal life), and testing her limits, but not particularly suicidal or even all that self-destructive.

I didn't get the suicide vibe, but I deffinately got the vibe that she thought her life was ruined, because of this. I also thought that her mom would see her on TV running through the fire and understand that heer daughter was not using a metaphore.

Which kind of supports the idea that she doesn't feel pain.

I can totally understand her whole motivation as far as thinking her life is ruined. For someone popular to suddenly be very, VERY different is, in high school, a very bad thing. She doesn't seem dumb at all - she probably knows that she won't be able to keep it a secret forever. Finally, keep in mind that as far as she knows, she's the ONLY person with a power - she doesn't know about anyone else. Even so, when it gets out, her life probably would be ruined.

No, I get her doom and gloom thing fine.

I got the feeling she feels some pain, but not th enormal amount. For example, she was walking around with her ribs sticking out and didn't really notice, but then when she stuck her hand down the garbage disposal she grimaced. I think she felt it to some extent, but not anywhere near how much it would hurt a normal person.

I'm not sure about the suicide thing. I got the feeling she was pretty depressed and I figured she had tried suicide initially and when she didn't die she began to experiment with different ways to try to kill herself more out of some morbid curiousity than suicidal tendencies.

So if finding our she was different isn't what led her to try to commit suicide, what did?

Stress... a desire to live up to expectations. All the things she was a part of, a bunch of advanced classes... too much pressure.

I guess the desire is to read too much into everything, we have only had 1 episode so far. Lets at least get number 2 before we commit the girl. We have no idea how she figured out about her power. It could have been a broken limb that healed before her eyes or something else relatively minor. We just don't have enough info to assume anything and everything.
