Heroes...Season 1--9/25/06 Eps#1

True,
But isn't it six in the first episode and then nine or ten in the series overall. I'm getting that number from the picture in the first post above.

I noticed the whole "dad is coming home early" too and was a bit confused but was able to just look past it figuring it was poor editing. It cracks me up the number of shows and even movies that I notice blips of poor editing. You'd think they'd have fresh eyes look at it so those things can be picked out and fixed.
I too would have liked to see more of the Japanese guy- he was cool.
The psycho woman-in-the-mirror-doppleganger-multiple-personality-whatever chick is the one who wierds me out. That's not a super power like I would like to have. Black out, wake up and people are dead- no thanks. I mean I guess they could have roughed her up pretty bad and I guess it's good to be saved but try explaining that s*** to the police.

I noticed the goofs others have mentioned. And one that really annoyed me. Why didn't Mr. Use Only 10% Of Your Brain, upon leaving his dad's apartment start shouting: "Hey everyone, some white guy's robbing my dead dad's apartment!"? As far as we are shown, he doesn't even bother to call the cops. Oh yeah, and three days later he's in New York with a job. Not very impressed so far. But I too like the Hiro character. (I loved his friend's comment: Super Hiro!)

1) The character is a paranoid conspiracy nut who believes that the "next stage in human evolution" includes telekinesis and mind control.

2) As far as I know, you can fly from India to New York in 3 days or less.

3) He didn't "get a job" -- he stole his father's identity.

Some quick poking around on Expedia shows a direct flight from Dehli, India to NYC/JFK. Takes about 15 hours in the air, but you lose a day due to time zone wierdness.

I thought when the cheerleader's father got into the cab he mentioned that there was a scientist with the same last name, not the same exact name. Hence the Smith, and Anderson reference. So I don't think he stole his father's identity.
Also when he was in his father's New York apartment he told the landlord he would take the apt as is and that he had a job to pay for it. The landlord replied he would get an application for him. He wouldn't need to fill out an application for his dad's apartment if he stole his dad's identity.

He probably did "steal" his father's taxi medallion (which lets him legally operate a cab in NYC), though.

No, they completely editted it out. It was one of the scenes that I wasn't sure would be in the pilot. Oddly enough, the other one I thought wouldn't be in there (the garbage disposal scene) was.

When I was watching I thought the dog was just licking up the blood that was on the floor.

That's all that it showed in the version that was aired. I wondered why she was freaking out at the dog- now we know why- it was just edited out.
