I'm guardedly happy about this. The one unfortunate quality of Heroforge for me is that it's Windows only. It doesn't work on OpenOffice.org, and doesn't work on Mac Office. Putting together a portable foundation could fix that, which would mean it would work on the computers I use.
OTOH, the fact they could use Excel meant they had a huge basis of functionality they didn't need to write. So I wish them the best of luck!
