Hexblade Blackguard

Well some times. Other times they just can convert via interfacing with an evil god.

5 level Hexblade is fine. Go Blackguard when you can, truly looks to be a nice combo as you can keep your spells from both sides AND you'll be pretty evil.

Just max out your cleric friend for good evil stuff.

Hmm...that sounds pretty blackguard-creating, but it isn't in the RAW.

I haven't really commented on the Hexblade/Blackguard combination, but I must say that I like it. I'm sure I wouldn't go with a level of Ranger, though. Either go Rogue or Cleric. Cleric would have some nice turning with all of your charisma, I imagine, but the extra skills and sneak attacks from the Rogue would also be nice. Evasion is definately a plus.

I try to think outside of the ordinary, and while it would be rather anti-thematic, I've noticed that spending your two non-Hexblade levels in the Ninja class is another option, to get Ghost Step, which should make you invisible long enough to use the Blackguard sneak attack. I don't like the idea, but thinking outside the box is where interesting characters come from...

Well, I am sure I can talk the DM into anything I like, considering we have a feral tiefling, a half dragon Giant, and a Half Fey Elf Archer.

But, I want something interesting and fun to play, which is powerful as hell, but not because I have some crazy template.

I will be invincible save wise, I should do a ton of dmg, etc.

I think Cleric 2, just because it makes me qualify for Divine Might, and thats vicious.

We start halfway between 6 and 7, so here is what I see:

Cleric 1, Fighter 2, Hexblade 3

Cleric of Mask 1: Power Attack, Cleave, Domains(Trickery, Luck)
Hexblade 1:
Hexblade 2: Divine Might
Fighter 1: Close Quarters Fighting
Fighter 2: Improved Sunder
Hexblade 3: Leadership
Hexblade 4:
Blackguard 1:
Blackguard 2: Divine Shield

Build 2:

Hexblade 1: Power Attack, Cleave
Hexblade 2:
Hexblade 3: Cross Class Learning
Hexblade 4:
Hexblade 5: Improved Sunder
Hexblade 6: Leadership
Blackguard 1:
Blackguard 2:

Build 3:

Rogue 1: Power Attack, Cleave
Rogue 2:
Hexblade 1:Improved Sunder
Hexblade 2:
Hexblade 3:
Hexblade 4:Leadership
Hexblade 5:Close Quarters Fighting
Blackguard 1:
Blackguard 2:

Build 4:

Fighter 1: Power Attack, Cleave, Improved Sunder
Fighter 2: Improved Shield Bash
Fighter 3: Cross Class Learning
Hexblade 1:
Hexblade 2:
Hexblade 3:Leadership
Blackguard 1:
Blackguard 2:

It doesn't sound like you expect your char to live very long without divine grace. Don't rush things, because with a relatively "crappy" REF-Save (and no evasion either) you're not going to last long being a bane of spellcasters.
You'll eventually be able to rebuke undead anyway for being a 3rd lvl. Blackguard. So that's 9th lvl. for "Divine Might" if you want to push it that way. And what do you want with "Divine Shield"? I thought you were going for a serious dealer-of-damage with that "power attack"-thang!? Get a two-handed weapon! Especially if you want to make use of "cleave" and "improved sunder".
Ever thought about the "combat brute" - "shock trooper" combo? You're half-way up to that anyway. (mmhh...maybe two fighter lvls. :\ )
Remember what I said about being mobile. Even a Cleric of Trickery can't tumble well.
With that Cleric build I see you dead after about three sessions (if I ain't grossly misinterpretating you're campaign's style from what the other builds suggest).

And don't forget to team-up with your feral (Broken!) Tiefling rogue for fancy flanking manoovas. Charging into flanking position for example. ;)

strongly recommending the rogue build,

Darth Malakh

It isnt that I expect to die, more like I dont expect the campaign to last that long. If it does, great! But I dont expect it.

I dont die often, And I will be the sturdiest guy in party, both save wise, and hp wise. I am reluctant to give up my shield, which means I'll want either an animated shield, or a 1 hand weapon.

What would I die from with the cleric build, btw? Luck domain lets me reroll a failed save, 2 0 2 is save bonus from clr, my ac will be huge, I'm excellent againt a grapple...

Try this:

Human

Hexblade 1
Hexblade 2
Hexblade 3
Hexblade 4
Fighter 1
Dragon Disciple 1
Dragon Disciple 2
Blackguard 1
Blackguard 2
Dragon Disciple 3
Dragon Disciple 4
Dragon Disciple 5
Dragon Disciple 6
Dragon Disciple 7
Dragon Disciple 8
Dragon Disciple 9
Dragon Disciple 10
Blackguard 3
Blackguard 4
Blackguard 5

For Epic Levels continue with Dragon Disciple.

We already have a half dragon, plus I really dont like the bab. Yes, I know, I get it back in str bonus, but I'd rather get a half-fiend template down the road than this one.
