Right well I guess for me, it's only ONE round. So what if you can hit, if a) the damage is mininal, and b) even if not, doesn't mean something won't try to hit you back.

Personally I'd take something like the Reaver's Sacrament if I wanted to hurt my enemy a lot.

Well that's one way to go. Another and this probably requires you Dm's Approval, Black Thorn Knight Pr-class. It's not quite the same as Blackguard BUT you can get it earlier.

actually, i've just stumbled across those paladin-variants in UA. anything wrong about that?
paladin of tyranny ist pretty much the same as BG, at least save-wise.

Actually, he said everything in UA is cool, except Gestalt. So thats cool.

Ok, I have 9 turns a day, Nightfall, so thats 9 rounds of attacks, which to my mind is any number of em. Reavers Sacrament wont let me power attack for 6 with my full base attack bonus still going to hit, and do 6 additional dmg plus the 12 power attack dmg. It will disallow healing, but thats more useful against PC's than for them, how often are the bad guys packing a cleric?

Unholy Warrior would have been my other suggestion but using UA's variant classes, pretty decent as well.

How often? Depends on the NPCs participants involved. If it's Zhents, trust me they are ALWAYS packing a high ranking Cleric of Bane. Especially now that Bane's back in charge AND doing things right.

Still not a true fiend. My advice, hire yourselves out as mercs in the service of Orcus. I have connections.

Eltab just isn't your think IMHO.

Have you looked at the warrior varient in UA(page 78) allows you to choose class skills , and swap around saves. That way you can improve your reflex save, and still have a great will save. Plus you can take hide as a class skill.

Cleric of Mask 1: Power Attack, Cleave, Domains(Trickery, Luck)

Warrior 1: Close Quarters Fighting
Warrior 2: Improved Sunder
Hexblade 3: Leadership
