Hi there! :)

Can I ask some question on the Immortal handbook (WPS) ?

Absolutely! :)

Blacksad said:
I would like to know if it allow me to do what the D&Dg doesn't,
i.e. will it allow me to DM a group of local gods (each will be the god of a village),

Yes. It even provides Iconic Divine Characters for exactly this purpose (each with multiple incarnations of power).

Blacksad said:
with guidelines for stats generation,

Absolutely. See my previous post. There is also NPC generation tables.

Blacksad said:
CR (and not that: "do it as you like" to eyeball challenge in D&Dg),

Yes. I have posted my Challenge Rating Rules here many times (as I am sure others would report). They can accurately determine any deity/character/monster very easily. They also addend the current rules which disinitgrate above CR20.

Blacksad said:
and how to advance them (minimum level for a given DR, ECL for DR, ECL for high starting stats, etc...).

Technically there is no minimum level for Divine Rank (according to WotC) although there is a table in my book for suggested level range.

Yes I have ECL for DR.

There is no change for high starting stats (in and of themselves) however I do have the ECL determined for both Disciple (Chosen of/Divine Champions) and Quasi/Hero-deity 'templates'.

Blacksad said:
Also, do you plan to correct the "error" in D&Dg?
like:

There are a handful of errors (both philosophical and mechanical) I will be contesting in the book.

Blacksad said:
Create Magic item a standard ability in chapter 2, while each deity in following chapters is able to create specific item linked to its faith (the second method seems fair, especialy for Hephaistos who wouldn't have the ability to create shocking burst sword if he used the standard method).

I have my own ideas for all types of Divine Creation: Avatars; Creatures; Items; Places etc.

I think they work better than D&Dgs efforts.

Blacksad said:
Domains (how to decide the number of domains a deity freely get, and those it needs to buy with extra domains, it seems that the standard is 3 domains for every deities).

Yes. Although I had to modify my previous Portfolio Rules over to Domains instead (a simple refit).

Blacksad said:
Ranged damage with thrown weapons: every deity in D&Dg does less damage with ranged weapon when they are thrown instead of used in melee.

I assume these could be typos?

Blacksad said:
(NB: it seems that some deities don't have the domains power listed also).

Again, possibly just a mistake?

Blacksad said:
So will you list your deities using the rules in chapter 2, or will it follow the method used in chater 3,4,5 and 6?

Well, I am working on a number of Pantheons but they may not be included in my initial body of rules (The IH is already 200 pages). I do have 10 sample deities detailed in the initial rules though.

Though I am not sure about what you mean by the different methods? Can you explain this a bit further?

err...
In fact it's only the create magic item section, in chapter 2 deities can creates any items to which they meet the requirement (without item creation feat) related to their portfolio, but in the sample pantheon some deities can create any weapon or armor (while some magic item require spell that the deity doesn't have), in fact WotC does not respect its own rule.

But apparently, it's the only one.

Three other questions perhaps?

Is the final title of the book chosen?

Have you any idea for a release date? (for the printed version)

Do you have a different rule for Proxy? (while the D&Dg rule works well for a monotheistic religion, losing a DR in a pantheon, even if it gives ALL of your salient ability to the proxy, is a bit harsh IMO).

Now, I'll stay quiet and wait for the release of the WPS.

Its easy to make a mistake with so many mechanics (especially given the format they used which wasted a lot of space).

All creation is better handled with worship points - people can make up their own mind when they have both sets of rules.

Yes. Immortals Handbook.

There may be a subtitle (?) - I am still mulling over a few ideas for that.

I can't honestly answer this at the moment. I don't want to say something and then not see it come to pass. As soon as I know I will let everyone know.

I don't like the proxy rules. I have Divine Champions/Disciples rules instead (they don't cost Divine Ranks). Although a deity can still bestow Divine Ranks if the so wish.

Hi Upper Krust! I think that even Divine Rank -10 is too low for Avatars, especially if it is as easy to create a bunch of them as in Deities and Demigods! I am personally lining towards the following: Half of Hit Dice, and Divine Rank 1/3rd of the original -1( rounded down), this way every Avatar of a being up to Greater God is a Demigod, and Deity with Divine Rank 6, a minimum for Avatar, would have one with Divine Rank 1.

Hi Al! :)

When is the proposed release date?

I have been stung by promising false hopes in the past, so I don't want to reveal any release date until I am certain myself - but I would say sooner rather than later! ;)

Or as the creators of Duke Nukem Forever say, "When it's done" :D

Well if anyone remembers (way back) I previously handled Avatars by reducing them in status by three.

However, there are a number of complications for that method now (regarding Challenge Ratings and so forth) primarily due to Solars now being regarded as Hero-deities.

Essentially I have the creation rules for servants/monsters perfected (it has been for some time) the trouble lies in setting a fixed measure for Avatars so that each deity can be calculated in one go rather than vary the amount (as you can with Servants/Monsters).

eg. If I allow a DR17 Greater God to create a DR7 Avatar, they could also create a DR6 facsimilie or DR5; DR4 etc. Are these beings then not technically 'Avatars'!?

So its just little things like that I have to finalise.

and as i've said to that....HURRY UP MAN. At least this is worth waiting for unlike Duke. You can only continue building on a specific base for so long till you have to start over completely (Duke started with Unreal engine 400a or 403, forget which. Well epic is upto an internal build in the upper 800's now and it seems Duke keeps getting pushed back.) I don't want to see this happen with WPS. Else how will i know what to give The Shadowed One and his 3x Insanity/Madness Porfolio?!

KRRRRBUMP.
