Just curious everyone - I just joined up here and wondering about 13 Kingdoms - the community etc.

About how many players are there here - I'm guessing quite a few.
How many DM's (although that number might fluctuate)?
I've seen at least 3 - but sure there are more!

How long have some of you been involved in 13 Kingdoms?

Myself - at the moment I have one character I just created namde T'ahl Sri - a half-elf theif (and apparantly due to angry dice gods my first game - a very clumsy one). Iv'e only been a member one week - but am enjoying it - you've created a huge world - rich with culture and history - and - amazingly enough - a friendly gaming environment to go with it (many large and old kingdoms I've seen have become well - almost "snobbish in their message boards etc)

so anyway - reply - answer some questions - introduce yourself - tell a story - hey - whatever strikes your fancy

Well, I joined at the same time as you T'ahl, and in the same game. *grins* Hopefully your luck will get a wee bit better in the future...

I have to say, I am really impressed by everything I've seen around here. The setting is awesome and all the people involved seem great. The only downside is I want to get in more campaigns now, dangit. *chuckles* Guess I'll just have to keep my eyes open for openings and get in as many as I can. *smiles*

It's nice to have bumped into this place, I hope it all works out well. *smiles* It's also great to have lizardmen as a more acceptable race, it's darn hard to find a game when you don't enjoy playing humanish things like myself, so I have to say, the fact I can avoid that problem is a huge relief. Anyway, look foward to meeting more of you all later...take care and good luck gaming all.

Hi! I'm really glad you like the setting, since I was one of many involved in making it There's lots of players, but the number of DMs does indeed fluctuate. There's also a number of tabletop campaigns going on that I've heard about here and there, but they tend not to post to the AREA forums any more than the online DMs do S'okay though.

I've been involved since very nearly the beginning. It's been an amazing couple of years We spent nearly a year in development, and it's been "beta" for about a year. The final setting guide will be amazing, but I still think it's the idea of a collaborative game world where DMs can run the games they want the way they want, with no paperwork or Day Units accounting, that makes it really interesting. And the timeline!

I mean, how many other settings can you just up and have your events, NPCs and locations become part of the canon world? Heh. I just love that

Howdy all, I am new to the whole 13 Kingdoms here.. accually I just joined up today.. I don't really know anything about the world here but by what i have read from other's this is a good place to be.. I have been under EN World for about 2 weeks now i think... could be a week... anyway, I am hoping to join in a campain or even a quick adventure to start off with so i can get the feel of the world the people and how things run.. i will be looking for new games opening up or even on going ones that could use another player... I hope to have an enjoyable time here with 13 Kingdoms

There are currently three games looking for players in Questing for Adventure right now. I haven't gone there yet but see that you have posted there, so you probably already know about them.

Our setting is all about enjoying yourself playing D&D. We have tried to set up an environment that has the benefits of interactivity in the "Living" style with a minimum of paperwork and restrictions.

I'm one of the "old" founding Council Members. As Emericol said we're about to go official, "official" with out new setting guide.

Have fun, and expect more games to come.

Also, if you get the bug to DM we're looking for more DMs online who want to help shape the world in a very direct way. Bulid villages, towns, create stories, and have it all be part of The 13 Kingdoms cannon!
