Any bets on how long it takes Monte to put out his own alternate of the DMG, mabe he could call it the Arcana Masters Guide :)

I don't think so. At leat it really isn't needed. The DMG has always had basic info that few people really looked at anyway. If one took out the prestige classes and magic items I doubt it would see any use at all.

I have to admit I rarely opened it when I was running my Brekton games.. except for spot rules reference and the CR tables, which I often ignored and used on-line calculators and best guess methods.

In fact I don;t think I ever made it all the way through that book on a read thru. The MM and PHP I've read cover to cover, a few times. The DMG makes a nice flat surface for rolling dice while sitting on the couch though:)

eh, looks like The Diamond Throne and The GM Screen will cover most of the AU specific DM stuff.

I used mine to bludgeon the Rules Lawyer that used to sit next to me :D

My DMG actually sees a lot of use...been experimenting with a random dungeon as the players explore, and they've loved it so far. Sometimes I just like to flip through it for an idea here or there.
