I'm a book whore.. I pre-ordered all three.. just for completeness.. and so my future writing has good easy to use references.. but I think each person will find different value in the book. My wife uses it a great deal more than I do.
As for Monte's review itself, not the thread, I think he has some good points but I know we'll end up house ruling 3.5 more than we already do 3.0. To expect anyone not to change the rules or to expect this revision will cover all our issues with D&D is not reasonable..
I'm still torn on the buff spells, since in our games they have never really been abused like a lot of players do.. most of us are not munchkins/power gamers when we play.. at least not overtly.
