I'm being pretentious, I apologize. A cor anglais is a bit like a clarinet, I think. I tend to think obscure instruments are cool - my dad's into medieval music, which probably has something to do with it.

For the record, I think banjos are pretty cool too.

The cor anglais does sound kinda cool, actually.
The guitar swings back and forth on coolness. Buckethead and Les Claypool made it ungodly cool, but now The Strokes are taking the piss right out of the poor 6 string.

Ah; well I figured, all girls do tease.

I use "take the piss" to mean that they've killed it, made it uncool and/or destroyed it; the Strokes have pretty much killed Rock and Roll, they're just repeating the same stuff that the Stones and Nirvana did, and nobody cares about them, but Rolling Stone magazine is shoving them down the public's throat.

Well, that's it for me for now Hivers; I gotta get going to the doctor's office, but at least I get a chance to read more of Neuromancer while I'm in the waiting room.
