Verakoden

During the years when He Who Eats was destroyed, Verkoden started to make his move. He slowly enslaved people either through his abilities or by convincing them that he should lead them. His movements were slow and it wasn’t until he had taken a large potion of the communities near the equator that others started to realize something was.

I'm using Savage Species and the templates in Dragon to create scads of new critters.

Hey, HIVEMIND, allow me to procure your talents to brainstorm on the following: what should I name the following races?

- anthropomorphic gorillas
- anthropomorphic baboons
- anthropomorphic squid (and giant squid) - my new baddies ;)

The anthropomorphic squid remind me of the dreugh in Morrowind.

For the others, it depends on whose name for them we're talking about, I suppose. If it's the name usually given to them by humans it'll probably be something like 'forest-men', possibly 'demon apes' if tehy are suspicious of them. If its the name they call themselves, it could be something you can only really pronounce in hooting and other odd noises that humans aren't used to ;)

The gorillas are relatively peaceful and keep to their forests, and the baboons tend to be rowdy and warlike. I'm using them both as relatives of the vanara.

I suppose that if your'e using them as relatives of the vanara, you could indicate the relation through the names. The other races could be called something along the lines of, day, 'vanara-ke' or 'vanara-aho' or something...
