In reverse order:

1) Hey, 'fex! How are you?
Hey, I missed a chance to say hi? Rectified. Heya, Carnifex! :)

2) BG with rules I can understand? Good plan.
Oh, c'mon - 2nd edition isn't that bad. As long as you are willing to ignore rules that don't make sense, anyway. (For the record, I got this as justification from a friend who won't play a 3e game.)

3) No, I didn't think that much of Season 4 either. Riley sucks, for one thing. And there were just a lot of things in it that didn't seem to work. Season 5 is a hundred times better.
Good. I'm with you on Riley, and I wasn't overly fond of Adam either. Or Oz leaving. [Grumble.] I do like Tara, though, and most certainly Anya.

I'm reading about derivational phonology and X-bar theory in syntax. Both are difficult, but interesting. :)
You know, I didn't understand a word you just said. :)

4) Musicals rock. My favourite is Phantom. Yes, I know I'm sad!
Haven't heard of it, but I agree with you and XX about musicals being good. I like Fiddler on the Roof.
[Edit.] Ok, yes, I have heard of it with your clarification. I do like that, but nothing can beat Topol's "If I Were a Rich Man" for me. :)

The only reason I don't understand 2E is that I've never, ever played it. I only started gaming about 18 months ago.

I miss Oz too, but yes, Anya and Tara are cool! :D

'fex: beer is good. Well actually I think it tastes vile, but good for you!

Heck, if you've actually managed to put up with Aerie long enough to fight Irenicus, I'm amazed. I did it once, to complete the romance, but that's been it.
Well, the Aerie romance is what keeps me coming back to BG2.:D

Y'know, when I used to post on the Bioware boards, it seemed like I was the only one who could 'tolerate' her. "Tolerate?" I ask. "Do you tolerate your ideal woman when she appears before you?"

You have obviously not yet tried Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat....can you even get that in the UK?

heho!

I got me a nice shiny set of 3.5 :) Nice reading :)
Hiya, Maldur. Not to wave a flag, but it's nice to 'see' people I haven't in a while. :) How've you been?
3.5 books would be nice - I'm going to have to live without for a little while - I think I'll just hold off until the 3-book set comes out. Last week I blew $500 on D&D books, and that pretty much ate my budget for a little while.
