Hogfather coming to TV!

The scene where death as the Hogfather is talking with the magical computer was oddly touching. I mean, neither could have expression but still it was sweet and carried just the right amount of sentiment.

I think for American audiences it moved rather slowly. It did not need to be all "wiz-bang" so to speak, but the director could have made the actors pick up the pace a bit.

My gf bought it on DVD while she was in London in the spring and I've watched it for a dozen times already. It is well done and I got to say they managed to make mr. Teetime really scary. The actress choice for Susan was also very good.

Borders (and only Borders for some reason) has the DVD if you're so inclined.

It is in the Family Movie section at Borders and is going for $17 this week (sticker said it was $20). For some reason it isn't listed on their web site, but it is available in the stores.

I hear they are gonna do the other books as well starting with the first book. I think it has been or still filming now.
It seems you are right: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1079959/ . And what's best is that they have casted Christopher Lee as the voice of Death. He played it in the animated version of Soul Music and I was a bit disappointed when he wasn't in Hogfather.
