holy symbols

The use of multiple implements has led to a feeling of neglect for the cleric. The rules, as of pre-Divine powers, say you may only wear or hold one symbol. Do you think this will be updated as all the others now are? Second, where can you have multiple symbols (backpack, belt pouch, bag of holding) in order to use more than one? The thought I have is to utilize a +2 divine reach for the majority of a fight and switch (minor action or move, not sure) to a symbol of turning to get an extra channel divinity if undead are involved.

I read it as you can have it anywhere on your person, as long as you are not holding it in either hand, or have two on. In other words, you can't have it in a location where you could use either one.

However, were I a DM I would let a player holding one holy symbol in the off-hand and wearing another choose which one to apply for implement attacks. It's not really that much more powerful than a Wizard holding two implements, especially since most Divine classes have weapon and implement attacks.

Besides, I love the image of a priest of Kord (with AP): "By the fist of Kord I smite thee, and the hand of Kord I heal thee!" (or so forth for other deities).

Without looking at Divine Power, the one way to get multiple holy symbols I can think of is to have one Holy Symbol occupying your holy symbol item slot (that is the rule that keeps you having only one, btw) while wielding a Crusader/Holy Avenger weapon.

Legal as church on sunday.
