Homebrew help: a new plane

Hey, for a homebrew I'm tinkering with, I need a new plane -- kinda an opposite to the plane of Shadows. I've got ideas starting to percolate, but I thought "what the heck, I'll troll for ideas and see what comes up!"

So, any ideas?

You could take the plane of Radiance and make it a little less tough on the eyes. You get a realm of wonderful light and color, with rainbows in place of streets, weird creatures, and so on.

I'm not sure about the rainbow idea.... I have images of cuddly little Care Bears bouncing around on cotton candy clouds.

But the general Plane of Radiance idea is good....make it a pocket demiplane and call it the Plane of Glory....or something that has the same connotation without the melt-your-eyeballs blinding light.

Well, I mean other than the fact that it's bright, and all that, what other ideas are there (really, that was the most obvious one to me as well, but I was hoping for a little more.)

LOTS of Crystal Elementals, plus the occasional celestial/infernal perhaps. It's a neutrally aligned plane with morphic traits and enhanced magic with the descriptors, light, fire and lighting.

Sounds good! Crystal elementals, eh? Are those in print somewhere?

Although I probably won't make mine neutral. The plane of shadow will be the transitive plane that leads directly to the infernal planes in my cosmology, and this plane (whatever it ends up being) will be it's opposite, a conduit from the Material to the celestial planes. Maybe. That's what I'm thinking of doing with it, anyway.

Back in Planescape, there was a mythical "Ordial Plane" which was a transitive plane that linked the Inner Planes directly to the Outer Planes... but nobody had ever been to the Ordial Plane.

I would make the new plane a utopian place, perhaps with a "first race" who came before the elves and dragons, etc. I'm envisioning a Garden of Eden type place. It seems that would be opposite to the plane of Shadow, at least.

Really? I have the Planescape boxed set as an ESD from Wizards, but I don't recall ever seeing that mentioned.
