[house rule] Arcana Unearthed Class Armor Bonus

So I've been pondering dividing Armor Class Bonus of Armor into AC and DR. I noticed that, in effect, AC went down. It was suggested to me that I give classes a Class Armor Bonus. So this is what I'm pondering (mostly based off of d20 Modern's approach).
