Level Up (A5E) How did we end up with 11 combat traditions?

Does anyone know how the designers landed on 11 traditions? I think they’ve done really well, but I’m curious as to how they decided that would be enough, especially as it’s not exactly an easy thing to go back in and change later since they’re built into class descriptions.

You can always add more Combat Traditions as you come up with them in supplements and 3rd party publications, as well.

Add a line in the tradition about which classes gain access to it, or make it as Rare as certain Spells. Something you can only learn by going out and -finding- someone to teach you their secret techniques regardless of your character class.

Hmm...various cultures in real life have their own combat traditions, what if some of the cultures in A5e had a culturally specific combat tradition of their own? Shadow Elf Culture, for instance, could have a stealthy combat tradition that relies on stealth, hit-and-run tactics and darkness.
